Hey Roomy began life as the HMO management arm of a well-established and multi award-winning Lettings agency in West London, back in 2013. The lettings business identified a gap in the private rented sector, specifically for professionals, often new to the area, who did not have friends or family to live with, and so were often forced to rent expensive one-bedroom self-contained properties. What this group needed was a less expensive way to rent in the area, and the opportunity to meet new people, hence the concept of room rentals in shared accommodation.
In 2021 the lettings business was acquired by the one of the largest property services groups in the UK, and as such, Hey Roomy was born, as a standalone shared residence specialist.
Currently the portfolio of properties and clients we work with span across the Southeast. We are able to service properties as small as two-bedroom apartments, right up to eight bedroom detached houses. Our offering provides a rent guarantee to the homeowner for a lengthy initial tenancy term of up to 60 months, positively impacting void periods and significantly reducing dilapidations, as properties are returned as found. We are also able to take on properties that have experienced significant wear and tear, and return them to their former glory using our own contractors, creating strong cost savings for the homeowner.
